What counts as urgent

You choose. Most businesses like yours pick:

  • No heat in winter
  • Water actively leaking
  • No power
  • An active roof leak

Urgent calls are marked Urgent in the email's subject line, and are texted to you once your texting registration is approved. On Professional, callers can be put through to you during your hours.

If a caller mentions a gas smell, sparks, fire or someone hurt, it tells them to hang up and call 911 before anything else.

What it won't do for home services

  • It won't quote prices or promise arrival times unless you tell it what to say.
  • It won't try to diagnose the problem.
  • It won't take card numbers over the phone.

Questions

Can it tell an emergency from a routine call?

It asks, and it uses the urgent categories you choose. Urgent calls are marked Urgent in the email's subject line.

Will it book jobs on my calendar?

Not yet: booking jobs on your calendar is coming soon. Today it takes the details and the times that suit the caller, and you call back to confirm.

What happens if the office is already on a call?

If your line forwards busy or unanswered calls to CoverDial, the next caller gets a friendly answer instead of your voicemail. We help you set up that forwarding.

Also built for: AI receptionist for insurance agencies and AI receptionist for IT companies. How setup works.

Every call answered, set up for you.

Reserve your spot, and we'll build a receptionist that knows home services.
